Challenges

Technical Limits arise when the AI struggles with handwritten answers, errors in textbook images, or complex subjects like essays, leading to potential confusion. Scalability is another concern, as the system must adapt to discipline-specific needs across various fields. User Trust is critical, with stakeholders often doubting the AI’s accuracy and worrying about unfair grading practices. Workflow Fit poses a challenge, as the tool must integrate seamlessly into teachers' existing processes without disruption. Finally, Privacy & Rules must be carefully addressed to ensure student data is protected while complying with university policies and regulations like FERPA. Overcoming these hurdles is essential for successful AI adoption in education.
